Prez Macron called the video of police beating black man shameful
Footage of three police officers beating a black music producer, Michael Zecler in Paris has surfaced online. The police officers are accused of racism and people’s anger over police brutality and racism is on the constant rise. French President Macron spoke over the issue and called it ‘shameful’ for the country. He called the act unacceptable and said ‘France should never allow violence or brutality no matter where it comes from. France should never let hate or racism prosper’. He also added that the one whose job is to apply the law should respect the law.
The four officers have been suspended pending an investigation into the arrest of Zecler last Saturday.
